Sam Smith — Personal Assistant
Sam is a Personal Assistant at The Insurance Advice Company and is currently working towards becoming a qualified Financial Adviser. Holding the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), specialising in Life, Health and Disability Insurance, he enjoys helping clients feel supported and confident throughout their insurance journey.
Born and raised in the Hutt Valley, Sam studied Economics at the University of Otago, building the analytical and problem-solving skills he brings to his role every day. His friendly, approachable nature and eye for detail make him a valued part of the team, helping both clients and advisers get the support they need.
Outside of work, Sam is a passionate sports fan and rarely misses a game. Whether it’s basketball, rugby or cricket, he’s always happy to get behind his favourite teams. He also enjoys unwinding with a buttery Chardonnay while watching the action unfold.
